zeitgeist57
I tinted my Passat's headlights over the summer...with over 100k miles I couldn't get rid of the haze so I did a little experimenting. With DDMtuning HID's, the lights work fine but look like shit up close. I'm looking for the next car I have (as well as possibly the Corvette) to have tinted tails, and maybe headlights. Not GTS covers. Is there anyone that can do a great job locally?
thorne
I haved tinted heads and tails on the wrx. Along with the same HID's My front lights look like complete ass . they were hazed before hand and we tried to clean them up. In the process some how the plastic fatigued ???? and when we sprayed on the tint the one lights tint spider webbed. The rears look awesome though http://www.40roll.com/fun/My%20Car/My%20Car%20Front%20(Small).JPG http://www.40roll.com/fun/My%20Car/mycarrear%20(Small).JPG The guy who did mine also did 2 lambos. The only reason my fronts look blah is because there was a issue from the git go. If you want his info let meknow.
BIGGU
I tinted my headlights on my Mazdaspeed 3 using Lamin-X pre cut tints. worked well, very thick and sturdy stuff. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/DSC_0174-2.jpg

Richard Cranium
I know you said no GTS covers, but that is what have for the Impala. I typically only run them in the summer when it stays light so late that I don't often drive in the dark. In the winter when it gets dark at 4:00 in the afternoon they are sitting on a shelf in the garage so I can see. Although the tint on the lights for that Mazdaspeed3 look pretty good. I just like that I can remove mine in about 30 seconds if need be.
AJ
have keven clifford tint them. 2 parts clear 1 part black 2 coats is what i have. 3 coats is a little darker. when the park lights, brake lights or back up lights are on you can't even tell they are tinted. i had all mine done when i worked at a body shop. trailblazer, they are darker in person but the camara made it look not as dark. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs184.ash2/44679_10150233760290277_537465276_14189578_4227617_n.jpg ctsv http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs365.snc4/44785_10150233761680277_537465276_14189636_2967306_n.jpg
zeitgeist57
Didn't think of Lamin-X... Kevin does this? Cool beans... Rick, I don't think they make GTS covers for the parking light/fog cover on C4 Vettes... Thanks, CR!
