Science Abuse
Place north of Deleware in Ashely, they have about $70,000 worth of cherry boards, rough cuts, over an inch thinck and 8+ft long. Some planks over 20" wide, I've never seen a plank of cherry that wide! It's a lumber yard about 2 miles east of Ashely, OH. On 229.

Science Abuse
That's not the guy, but doesn't look like a bad deal... going strictly by numbers. The quality may be poo. Price was $3.25 per board foot for the inch thick stuff. There are a handful of 2" thick slabs, but I didn't ask about them.
evan9381
depending on width and thickness cherry can go for has much as 20 per sq foot. right, but the saying goes something like "an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it"...and i guess in this case, what he's willing to sell it for. so if hes willing to sell it all for $8k, its not really worth 70k, right? lol
Tindall2006
This is almost cheep enough to justify renting a truck when I come to Ohio in a few months...
Science Abuse
Guys the CL ad is not the same guy. The guy i'm referring to is not sellign lots, he's selling whatever sells. There are two 15ft stacks, 8ft long planks an inch thick, varying widths. I've never seen nor heard of so much cherry in my life. He says he found a buyer in China that was going to make veneer out of it... but the buyer backed out after he bought the wood, and he's looking to move it.
