SpaceGhost Posted January 15, 2011 Report Share Posted January 15, 2011 Can I get a personalized plate while I have a 30 day tag on a car or do I have to purchase a regular plate then order the personalized plate? How long does it take to get a personalized plate in the mail? If I can order it while I have a 30 day tag on the car will it get to me before the 30 day tag is expired if I order it on the day I get the car? I looked on Oplates.com for this info and could not find answers. I know Anthony and others here have experience, I do not. Thanks in advance men. wnaplay1647545503 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Share Posted January 15, 2011 Look under issuance information for your answers. http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/sp_personalized.stm All plates will be mailed directly to the address on your registration card unless customer requests otherwise. The deputy will issue your registration card, stickers and provide you with a permit which will allow you to operate your vehicle while your plates are being manufactured. Guest Spam Posted January 15, 2011 Report Share Posted January 15, 2011 You go down the the DMv and get the plates made. Basically its a blank 10 day tag that they write on the plate. I got mine within two weeks. Plus if I have to get the ugly farm plate I might as well get something on it I like. The fucking INS co moved my car without my permission, and my last plate was still on the car. Mopar Posted January 16, 2011 Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 I didnt have to get farm plates last year when I got personalized plates.When you go to order them, ask the person if the sunburst plate is still available. You could still get the old plates until they ran out of inventory, which I believe has already happened now which sucks because I need to go get plates today and I hate the farm ones.
