Nitrousbird
Birthday is coming up, wife asked what I wanted, and I said a new watch. I am putting a list together. My requirements: - $300 or less. This is ONLINE, cheapest found prices - not MSRP or in-store pricing. - Metal Band - I prefer stainless steel look, but I'm flexiable on this - Skeleton - Prefer low 40mm range or smaller, as I don't have big wrists. Here are four I found that looked interesting: Invicta Men's 7208 Signature Collection Mechanical Skeleton Watch Invicta Men's 0569 Vintage Collection Mechanical Skeleton Stainless Steel Watch Akribos XXIV Men's AKR446BK Bravura Saturnos Elite Automatic Black Mesh Watch Stuhrling Original Men's 165A.33112 Lifestyle 'Winchester Elite' Skeleton Automatic Watc I like these 4 watches, but can't say I am in love with them - perhaps I would be in person. El Karacho1647545492
I'm pretty sure I've seen those watches for half of what Amazon has them for on 1saleaday.com/watch
gaewsky1
http://www.chronoshark.com/ Similar to the one Stuhrling above but for $99.
Nitrousbird
http://www.chronoshark.com/ Similar to the one Stuhrling above but for $99. Leather band and that crown is hideous. Pass.
MackDaddy43
http://www.chronoshark.com/ Similar to the one Stuhrling above but for $99. Are these "sharkstores" legit? Seems too good to be true.

gaewsky1
Are these "sharkstores" legit? Seems too good to be true. They are legit. I've bought a few Seikos from them and a TechnoMarine. I have also found that their customer service is very good and shipping is pretty quick. gaewsky1
Leather band and that crown is hideous. Pass. Just showing you a website that sells stuff close to what you are looking for at cheaper prices. I actually thought that watch was better looking than some of the ones you posted. To each their own. Good luck in your search.
04silvrz
Seiko and Techno Marina are some good brands sub 300. Orient makes a lot of nice Auto's in that range http://www.amazon.com/Orient-CFT00006W-Reserve-Semi-Skeleton-Automatic/dp/B001EWEPV8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298304916&sr=8-1 I like this one a lot for a skeleton myself! Bulavo http://www.amazon.com/Bulova-96A110-Mechanical-Hand-Wind-Automatic/dp/B0021AEDOQ/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1298304822&sr=8-17 THis can be hand sub 300 if you search. iwashmycar
i have the Stuhrling one, and its pretty nice. Really shiny though...I just wear it with dress clothes It also has a lot of decorative "scrolly/spiral" work on the internal metal framework that makes it look very intricate and busy... much more so than the one like Cement posted. I love that Orient - it is now on my list. I'm a little iffy on the Bulova. Neat, but probably not my style.
04silvrz
yup, that was my fav for sure! Orient makes several semi-skelton models like that. they are all in house movements too. I have had my eye on an Orient for some time, i just haven't pulled the trigger! worldofwatches.com is another place to get some decent pricing on some watches. i have ordered a couple from them. but also you can keep your eye on watchdoddy.com daily... Nitrousbird
I checked out all of the colors in that model - I like the white like you linked, and the yellow as well. Now I need to search around and see if I can find it even cheaper.

Diamonds
Do not buy any of the brands mentioned in the first post. Nothing against the brands themselves. I just would not trust their quality in a skelton/automatic. Personally paranoid. MAYBE an INVICTA (but i am not an invicta fan). You dont need to spend 350 for a skeleton. they either tend to be under 150 for cheapies. or about 400-600 for a good brand one. I WOULD REC ORIENT! (wait for the 50% coupons they FREQUENTLY put out for first tiem buyers} http://www.orientwatchusa.com/urban-c-44_47.html Bulova and Kenneth cole also make decent watches... and sell skeletons/openhearts Also, Michael Kors makes a GREAT Quality watch, im sure they have skellies. A reliable "Swatch" brand can be had for under 150.00 Also, look for skeletons with Unitas ETA 6497 movement. Finally, i say just buy one of these.... looks cool as fuck (Panerai homage) CHEAP AS FUCK http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd63/mickmo92/P1080613.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd63/mickmo92/P1080607.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd63/mickmo92/P1080597.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd63/mickmo92/P1080193.jpg CLiffs notes: 1. Bulova 2. Orient (50% off) 3. Michael Kors 4. Kenneth Cole

Nitrousbird
[/img] Not a metal bracelet like you wanted, but not a bad-looking watch for $69 that you could use as a back-up to a higher-quality watch. http://www.jomadeals.com/?ref2=cj Not a bad price. After shipping that's $10.72 cheaper than Amazon. I like that, so I may have to order it. I also rec going to Macy's and NORDSTROM and browsing their selections My wife and I went to Macy's Thursday evening (Polaris) and looked around - they didn't have crap for skeletons. They have this with metal and leather bands (for more money, of course): http://www.amazon.com/Kenneth-Cole-KC3828-Automatic-Ion-Plated/dp/B001EWEL7G/ref=sr_1_3?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1298728209&sr=1-3 They also had a single Bulova that was barely a semi-skeleton. Otherwise, nothing at all.
