Tractor
I got a 99 Grand Cherokee with the 42RE transmission and an interesting problem was going on at the end of my work day today. At highway speeds >55 if I was decelerating or maintaining my speed very lightly the trans would drop out of OD. If I gave it enough pedal to start gaining speed It would get back into OD. I'm kinda thinking throttle position sensor or possibly one of the solenoids involving trans pressure. No codes have been logged and the trans fluid is very clean and topped off. Tractor
I read a lot of jeep forums about trans problems. Didn't find anything with the same symptom. Most won't go into od period and have trouble codes, that would be to easy for me I guess.
