School me G6 GT

Wife had one for two years as a DD. Got it with 30,xxx miles and sold it on CL with 75,xxx miles. Changed the oil, rotated the tires. Had to replace the steering shaft on it (common for GM's). Other than that it was a nice car, no complaints. Not the greatest in the snow, a little too much power combined with being too light in the front end, make sure you get some good all seasons or run snow tires in the winter.

Good luck!

Brother had a 2006 gtp 3.9 6 speed manual.

Skip the manual, it was horrible. One of the only cars I would say that about. Absolutely the worst modern manual trans I have ever driven.

He drove his from new to about 50k and didn't have any issues.

Do not get the panoramic roof, they eat up brakes quickly compared to most GM cars, I've also done lower control arms on quite a few, and all the steering shafts rattle, other then that stuff they aren't bad.

but are the brakes the cars fault or just the tards driving them?

I've done plenty of these with 25-30k, and they typically wear out the front and rear at about the same time. Simply put they should've put better brakes on the car.

dont do it.. i never thought gm would make a worse grand am, but they did

to start the list of failed parts ive seen on under 60k warranty cars

brakes front and rear

blown struts and shocks

lower ball joints(whole control arm)

outer tie rod ends

kill tires

wheel bearings

steering shaft

lower intakes leaking

Look for a 2006+ Saab 9-3 Aero. They have the 260 HP turbo V6.

Vtune it (it's a tuning company based out of VT) and you'll get 330 HP and about 405 TQ (if you have a manual but if you have an automatic, the TQ will be lower)

AWD is also avail on these too.
