My newest toy

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty new on here and don't know any members personally, but figured I'd throw up a few pics of my latest toy. I sold my '03 Cobra a little over a month or so ago and picked this up a few weeks ago as the replacement. It's a 2001 Z06 with a few things done to it, pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I cleaned it up some yesterday and took it to a show today (got a top 25 trophy) and

decided to take a few quick phone pics since it was still pretty clean.

Mod list off the top of my head is:

-Vengeance Racing VRX3 Cam

-Patriot Gold Dual Valve Springs

-Custom made longtube headers with x-pipe

-B&B Bullet exhaust

-K&N cold air intake

-160 degree thermostat

-NGK plugs and what appear to be MSD wires

-Level IV RPM transmission

-LS7 clutch

-Oil pressure sensor relocated

-Lloyd's "Z06" floor mats

-C5R shift knob

-aftermarket padded and embroidered arm rest pad

-lowered on stock bolts

-17" polished CCW Classics all around

-Kuhmo Ecsta xs tires 295/35 front and 315/35 rears

-Drilled and slotted rotors

-Hawk pads

There's a lot of other little things but that pretty much sums it up.

I'm with you killjoy, I love polished Classics like no other, but the rear fitment of these is terrible, I'm planning on changing them. As for the price, I stole this unit. It has 70k miles and less than 5k on most of the engine mods and less than 2k on the trans and tires, and I paid $16.5k for it. Clean title.

Farkas, I haven't measured yet. Due to the size of the tires I'm assuming 17x9 or 10 in front and 17x11 or 12 in rear.

buckeye, they're not bad, that's just a terrible pic. The foam is a little collapsed on the driver's side like they all do, but there aren't any tears or worn through spots in either, just typical leather creases. I'd like to replace the seats with some nice aftermarket seats eventually, or just swap in some nice mod red seats and panels. Fap fap.

Definitely was a steal. It was simply a case where it wasn't advertised anywhere and the guy who owned it had an incredible collection and money wasn't an object to him. My Z06 was probably the lowest valued car he had and he only put about 1500 miles on it in the last year so he decided he'd sell it and he gave me an incredible deal. It wasn't my first color choice and it had more miles than I wanted, but there was no way I could've turned it down.

$500 and a couple of the detailers here will make it look like a showroom car inside and out.

No, they're bad. I'd NEVER let my seats get like that. NEVER!

Fuck me I guess the seats are junk, who wants to buy this pile? Lol

pdqgp, I may look into having it gone over. My wife and I have some friends who just bought a house near Easton, so I'd have somewhere to stay if it needed to be with the detailer for a day or two.

Definitely. I've only had it out of the garage 3 times in the last 3 weeks so I haven't had much of a chance to really clean on it and do most of the small things it needs, it'll get there. For what it's worth, I only took it to the car show today because a friend was in charge of it. I have no intentions of making this a show car, I fully intend to drive it like it was meant to be driven and enjoy the shit out of it. I'm 24, not 64. ;)
