With 465 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque on tap, the 300 SRT8 will easily sprint to 60 miles per hour in under five seconds, and all that grunt is managed by a five-speed automatic transmission, now enhanced with paddle shifters.

I had high hopes for the SRT8 Jeep, but I'm kind of disappointed in it since the unveiling yesterday. I see nothing that really impresses me about it. The front end looks goofy and not very well thought out. The hood also looks dumb, IMO. I hate the suede they put on the seats. The stereo does sound nice, however. Dash is lackluster. The engine sounds alright, but I think they should have went for a solid 500/500. And it it doesn't have the new 8 speed auto, then they've failed again.

I think I'll wait til they drop the 8 speed in the regular jeeps and just buy a Limited.

i agree with the Jeep SRT comments. It just looks too much like a Compass. But it should perform well.

After driving a couple 6.4L cars, I can attest that it feels more like a 500 hp engine, and some chassis dyno's have agreed.

The new 300C interior is a lot nicer too.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw it, too.

Chrysler had a great knack lately for producing cars that look awesome, make good power, but are otherwise pretty worthless if you care about handling, brakeing, or the actual driving experience. Edited by Littleguy

That clock is gayer than 12 cocks touching. And the display has a clock.
