wagner
With their current offerings what one would you pick and why. This is for internet only.
TTQ B4U
Don't know much about their current offers, but I PM'd Joe aka Nitrousbird my favorite DINK in life and he hooked me up. Haven't looked back. Their service is reliable, Customer Service strong and their porn downloads fast as hell.
unfunnyryan
TW has that 50mbit plan now, so if I had the extra cash I'd jump on that because I'm a colossal nerd.

sol740
You're far better off talking to your neighbors and getting their experiences, as they would more likely mirror your own. All networks have congestion/facilities/hardware problems, the key is finding the one that works best in your area. Anecdotal evidence one way or another is likely based in truth, but not necessarily beneficial.
El Karacho1647545492
0 problems with WOW, a bunch with TW. elaborate? my friend had the option of WOW or Insight. Went with WOW to begin, and while their customer service was good he said their internet was slow at best, and consistently inconsistent. Doesn't like Insight either but for what they lack in channel selection for tv, he says their internet is much better. EDIT: He's also in a kinda weird zone that gets New Albany utilities, Westerville post/zip/schools, and Columbus police.
Nitrousbird
TW has that 50mbit plan now, so if I had the extra cash I'd jump on that because I'm a colossal nerd. Not in Central Ohio. They only offer 15Mbps down with an awful 768k up. I'd take TW based on experience and reports of WOW's internet being subpar You mean reports that WOW has been #1 in Internet according to JD Power for the past few years. I am sadly forced to be a Time Warner customer. I'll give them credit that their service is better where I live now (likely due to the plant being ran back in 2003), than when I lived in my wife's condo in Upper Arlington / Hilliard area. Still get way more than expected outages, and the internet speeds have inconsistent days (with signal levels staying rock solid - usually latency and packet loss issues). bicranium
Not in Central Ohio. They only offer 15Mbps down with an awful 768k up. Wideband started trickling out the TW's MidOhio region last week. Of course I'm stuck in U-verse (caps)/Insight (awful)/WOW (no idea) land and want to murder people. Mojoe
WOW. You know my dude Matt from the BBQ's, he's an installer. Last week, I had 3 laptops running on my wireless and 2 XBOX's online playing, all at the same time with no issues.

Patrick
elaborate? Went out all the time. Different modems, routers, nothing fixed it. Switched to WOW, none of that jazz. I live in Clintonville, if that makes any difference.

Don't even get me started on Comcast...they have a stranglehold on Boston. Worst CS in any industry I've ever had. They mistook our cable for our neighbors (who hadn't paid) and switched us off every other day for a week before we got that shit straightened out. 87GT
The street I live on only can get Insight Cable and WOW. I've had insight rr turbo since i've moved here. 6 years only had 1 major problem which took a month to fix. I eventually got someone to give me a managers name and direct phone number. They rewired everything outside my house to the pole for free. It has been perfect after that. I download usenet at 1700-1800 KB/s all the time. I can stream netflix HD on my PS3 while usenet and no problems with streaming. Never had a reason to try WOW.
Alty941647545539
We have WOW at our place. Had Insight for the first year and a half because that was all that was available. The service sucked, Internets were slow, and our phone would stop working randomly. Switched to WOW3 years ago and haven't looked back. We have the triple play with 15 down 2 up on the internet side, all the HD channels you could want and rock solid phone service. And it is cheaper than what I was paying with Insight. We had Time Warner before we bought our house and I am so glad I don't have to deal with them anymore! Worst CS EVER!
