EF4 tornado

So, does EF4 have anything to do with the size of the tornado? Or is that clearly windspeed rating? It seems like more localized and smaller twistters seem to do more damage. That tornado seemed huge from a distance, and when it got closer, it at least seemed much smaller than the reported 1/2mi in the video. The wind speed was tremendous but didnt seem to do a whole lot of damage.

At First he was all  then he got closer and was all :lolguy: Then when he lived :gabe: after posting it on youtube he was all :fuckyeah:

Quoting for the awesomeness. Only thing that could have made it better would have been if you would have used all 10 new smilies.

I don't know a lot about the enhanced Fujita Scale (Anything with an E before the rating), but the original scale was based simply on the potential damage. At the time the scale was invented, there was no way to accurately and consistently measure wind speed (i.e., Doplar). The speed measurements you see a long with the ratings are a scientific estimation about what we think the speed will need to be to cause the damage.
