Thanks Tina Ebright for the cake/bowling ball

Tina (wnaplays) wife made this cake for my son for his 18th birthday. Awesome work. She also did my parents 50th wedding anniversary cake which turned out awesome as well.

I gave a picture of one of my sons bowling balls and she copied it just about exactly. Chris was pretty much blown away that I had this done and he wasn't even expecting it :)

Glad he liked it Buck, I will let her know in the morning.

Thanks man.. Everyone was pretty much blown away when they saw it. They really didn't think it was a cake lol.

We had so much cake left over I cut the ball in half and froze the rest and started giving out 2" rows of the "lane' to the people who showed up and we still have some left over.

You're right. Fondant is kinda nasty. Just.. no taste to it.

That is really cool. I thought it was a real ball for a second. Hope it tasted as good as it looks. Didn't ya hate to cut into something that cool?

Yeah I stuck the knife in the middle of it and my son said "who said you can cut the ball in half?". hehe.

Here's a pic of the real ball for comparison. Tina did say it came out a little darker than she expected, but Chris knew right away what it was.
