When I did my first tub I already had the wires on the tub, I drilled a hole into the house right at the box(basement). My father in law opened the cover connected the wires and all good(30 seconds). My second tub at this house I just disconnected them from the old tub and connected them right back to the new one. I would have connected them to the box myself by I am scared to death of touching the wrong thing in the box.

I wired mine up myself, was not that hard to do and I'm terrified of electricity. Hell, my box was full, so I had to pull 4 breakers and install 2 double breakers to make room for the 60 amp for the tub and I got that done okay.

I bought a 60 amp GFCI breaker with box to mount on my deck as the kill switch for the tub. That let me put a standard 60 amp breaker in my box. I couldn't find a GFCI for the box in my house.
