2 Sweet
Underneath all the Lincoln bells and whistles, it's basically a foxbody Mustang, correct? Or were they closer to a T-bird? Any differences in the 5.0 compared to the Mustangs? Pretty sure they were all automatics, but I'd assume a T5 swap would be fairly easy, wouldn't it? What was different about the LSC model? Did they all have air ride suspension? Any good forums for these? I'm not a Ford guy so it's all a big mystery to me

Dr. Apex
Yep, ask Scott, he'll know for sure. I can tell you from talking to him the engines though a 4.6 were quite a bit different from the mustang variant in terms of intake/exhaust and other things. Avenger1647545502
They were on the T-bird chassis, which is pretty much a Mustang. The first couple years they got the low-power 5.0, but went to the 200hp injected version in 87, the 225hp Mustang motor was optional on lower models, standard on LSC. The LSC was the top-of-the-line model, sport touring suspension, enthusiast interior, better stereo, usual stuff...they all had the air suspension, but conversion kits are out there. 2 Sweet
Thanks guys. Yep, I was talking about the 7. They seem like a good platform to mod and I've always LOVED the way they look http://2475-stangtv.voxcdn.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/8/files/2011/02/lincoln-mark-vii.jpg

Mr. Jones
We don't all make jones level $ Not about $$. Why not get the lighter, nicer looking fox body ?
nicktcfcsb
They are also about an inch longer in the floor pan. Almost all fox stuff will bolt up and its not hard to swap out the air ride for springs.
2 Sweet
Good stuff, thanks guys. I like the Mark 8 and the fox Mustang, but I'm a much bigger fan of the 7 and they are much less common. Just love the way they look for some reason
