Lincoln Mark VII questions...

Underneath all the Lincoln bells and whistles, it's basically a foxbody Mustang, correct? Or were they closer to a T-bird? Any differences in the 5.0 compared to the Mustangs? Pretty sure they were all automatics, but I'd assume a T5 swap would be fairly easy, wouldn't it? What was different about the LSC model? Did they all have air ride suspension?

Any good forums for these? I'm not a Ford guy so it's all a big mystery to me

They were on the T-bird chassis, which is pretty much a Mustang. The first couple years they got the low-power 5.0, but went to the 200hp injected version in 87, the 225hp Mustang motor was optional on lower models, standard on LSC. The LSC was the top-of-the-line model, sport touring suspension, enthusiast interior, better stereo, usual stuff...they all had the air suspension, but conversion kits are out there.
