3.1cutlass
I am working on a job application and they have the dreaded "Desired Salary" question. What is a good number to put it in there? The job is a Technical Support Rep for dealers to call into.
Rustlestiltskin
do some research online for what the starting salary is for these jobs. then if you have more to offer go up to what you believe is fair. this will be best answer in this thread. besides 1 million dollars or any other bs thing

Not Brian
I just googled it and they make anywhere from thirteen bucks an hour up to $100k
3.1cutlass
Well I am not expecting 100k. Thirteen per hour sounds reasonable.
Not Brian
Ask for $16 an hour if that is what sounds reasonable. Just me.. I've been burned on this game before.

Gergwheel1647545492
If $13 sounds resonable then i would do what Not Brian said and go for $16, don't settle for reasonable. Or 1 trillion pesos por favor

Mallard
Always put something down. We had one guy interview and under desired salery he put "don't care." I understand he may have been out of work for a while and needed a job badly, but in reality HR just passed it aound and laughed. I felt bad for the guy, but it made a bad impression. Exactly....better to aim high then to under value yourself and they just pay you that to save themselves some money...
