mmrmnhrm
What electric panel specs are generally used by builders these days... amps and poles?
Cordell
Typically homes will get a 200 Amp sevice, if memory serves me right a panel has 30-32 spaces. National Electric Code specifies 150 Amp minimum. Depending on overall home size, and location a larger service can be installed, but some fairly large homes do just fine on 200, I've wired 5000sqft homes on 200 which is kind of pushing it, usually getting a sub-panel to make sure everything is seperated out well. Of course its been 6-7 years since I was doing electrical work full-time, but other then the use of arc-fault breakers not a lot has changed in houses. iwashmycar
x2... 200A, 32 poles is pretty typical. At least that is what I usually show on my electrical sheets.
