Sam1647545489
Could of just been the turbo's letting go or a oil line popping off. Didnt sound like the motor was making any weird noises when they shut it off.

thorne
Dyno operator should have known better. I've used the 1/4 mile on our dyno on many cars and YOU DO NOT LAUNCH. Notice the tire smoke.... Id love to see that data log.
wnaplay1647545503
If the motor did go, is there any insurance for this? Is the dyno operator liable? Or is the cars owner SOL?
thorne
If the motor did go, is there any insurance for this? Is the dyno operator liable? Or is the cars owner SOL? To many factors to guess from a youtube video. Yes shop carry LOTS OF INSURANCE.
wnaplay1647545503
So if I bought a new zo6 took it straight to a dyno and during a run the motor goes, then the shops insurance would/could be resposible? Hard to believe they would take a chance with someones home built motor that could be put togther with junk parts.

Nope, first thing you sign before the car goes on the dyno says they are NOT responsible for anything that happens to the car on the dyno. IE...it blows, launches, whatever....you are SOL!
