Stuff like this was experimented with decades ago, honestly it just sounds like lots of hot air. There are reasons why this type shit doesn't catch on, like the fact that one correctly sized turbo or superchager would produce all the CFM an engine would ever need.

Sure is, Opel was one of the first to use this design in racing; it was first used on two stroke diesel setups.

 

More air mass in + more fuel mass added = more exhaust mass to bring the turbine online.

 

The trick is to build a system where the bypass can handle the mass flow without choking.

 

Or, if you don't like belts, you can use a staged multi turbo system:

That was once said about camshafts, yet we now have completely indepdent variable camshafts that produce very noticeable differences in power, enough to become a standard in this day and age.

Yep. His did not have the HKS kit; it was a Frankenstein. The car was sold about a year ago. His name is Stevan.

 

We got to go to his place and look at his car years ago when I still had my AW11, was pretty awesome. Twincharging was semi-popular on AW1X MR2's.
