gillbot
Clay I haven't used a Harbor Freight mask so I can't comment on that, but I will recommend a Hobart Hood as that's what I've used without fail since I started welding. They're cheap and carry a reputable name behind them. Mine's comfortable, shades well, and I would recommend one to anybody. Harbor Freight masks are shit. They don't go dark enough, fail often and are just overall junk. I have one, and I typically end up using a fixed shade/flip up style instead. The HF one is good if all you need to do is tack weld where you could get it done by closing your eyes and looking away, but otherwise if you weld any at all, get a real mask. Nickey4271647545519
Jackson NexGen hood for me. Jackson is one of a very few companies that actually make their own hoods.
