Wow...looks great! Did you remove the emblems, or just taped around them and wiped overspray with goo-gone?

  • 2 weeks later...

I have had the worst fucking luck in the world with this shit.

Tried to do the grand sport stripes (Taped off w/ scotch painters tape), and couldnt get it to cut the fuckin stripes right and it kept peeling up and shit.... so scratched that.

Tried to do the fucking berger panel mod and painted over the SS badges on it, tried to peel it off the SS badges and the badges didnt cut it at all, and tried to cut it myself around the badges and caused it to peel up so said fuck it to that idea too.

How the hell are you guys getting this shit to cut so clean when removing tape / peeling it off? Im having hell trying to get the shit to look nice.

How long do you wait between each coat then?

I've never really timed my coats, but probably only 10 min or so depending on the size of the area. On bigger areas, I've just gone right back to the front and started over until I got the coverage and thickness I wanted. Just watch it, you can tell when it's wet, dry, or in between. Try to hit it again when it's in between so it's had a chance to tack up and grab onto the surface/previous coat, but still wet enough to flow out nicely.

I've also noticed with this stuff to not freak out if it looks like it has a lot of orange peel after your last coat. It levels out nicely as it dries.
