Got-Boost?
Where are you looking? Seems to be plenty of inventory....personally I would wait until the C7 is released. Prices will drop like crazy once they are out...
POS VETT
Corvette Forum dealers still have quite some Corvettes in their inventory.

Ditch the white for the black boss stickers and I will sell my kidney for that car! THE EXACT CAR I WANT!
CRAWDAD
I'll agree costs are going up. I'm just saying if you wanted to go 9's starting with a brand NEW vehicle, you'll have less money in the Stang than a Z06... or 8's
Sparky
I see there is stuff out there but market has really dried up in for spring. There were a lot more options in March. I'm looking for a low mile car that is Black/Blue/Maybe Yellow right around $40k. Needs to be limited to no mods and these wheels
Sparky
EDIT: It's gotta be Black or Blue. Edited May 9, 2012 by 96Ragtop

I'm looking for a low mile car that is Black/Blue/Maybe Yellow right around $40k. Needs to be limited to no mods and these wheels well, you can't be that picky if you're looking to buy used. lulz. those wheels are the spyder wheels--they don't come on the early z-06's, which is what your budget dictates. black was available all years iirc, jetstream blue (was my second choice), was not available until 2008. you won't find a low mileage (assuming less than 10k miles) for $40k. good luck bro
Got-Boost?
As kirk said, good luck with that.....you'll be waiting a few more years... Plenty of Black, Yellow, Red....(probably the most common colors) at that price. Then order these: http://www.corvettegarage.com/product/2009-c6-z06-spyder-wheel-set-for-c6-z06-corvette.html http://www.corvette-wheels.com/reproduction-wheels/by-generation/for-c6z06.html http://corvettesofhouston.com/241-corvette-spyder-wheels
POS VETT
Wheels are easy to change; that style started in '9 MY. The '8 MY is the first year of the improved steering rack and the TR6060. The '9 MY is the first year for the 10.5-qt oil capacity, the powered hatch, and the Bosch electronics (PCM, ABS, etc.).

I've seen sub 30k mi cars ones that fit the bill but it was earlier this spring. As I said before I'm willing to wait but it won't take years by any means. There are '10 GS's in the high 30's low 40's. Prices are starting to drop quick on all of them.
Got-Boost?
GS's are a different car, all of them will tank once the C7 hits....even the ZR1!
SilverAudiMike
GS's are a different car, all of them will tank once the C7 hits....even the ZR1! When is the C7 expected and what's the expected price range for C6Zs when it's released? If its going to be mid-low $30s I may be in the market when this happens. ForeverMaker
Tough to predict for a few reasons. We don't know the final HP numbers for the C7. Details to be revealed this winter I believe. Then you have to see if the Z06 guys will be dumping theirs for a C7, or wait for the C7Z. Either way mid to high 30s for a solid 06-09 C6Z should be the norm late next year. (my guess)
SilverAudiMike
Hopefully it doesn't put too many people like me in the market for C6Zs to where the price doesn't dive as expected. Like how the 03 Cobras held and still hold in the low to mid $20s...
Got-Boost?
They are already everywhere down here (then again our weather is nicer year round). Just look at the C5Z's for reference....
Sparky
With 40-50k mi you wont be hard pressed to find a C6Z for sub 40k this winter if you're looking Mike. I have seen them start to dip under 40 here and there already. Been keeping my eye on corvetteforum, cars.com, autotrader and craigslist. Is there anywhere good I'm missing? Willing to travel some for the right one.

Got-Boost?
What's a few grand when you are spending $40k. I'd rather pay more for a low mileage perfect car than a hair less for a high-mileage questionable one...
