Doc1647545523 Posted July 3, 2012 Report Share Posted July 3, 2012 I haven't read any official reasons, but it likely boils down to what sort of sales/profits they project with domestic sales vs. the overall cost of getting it U.S. emissions certified. There certainly are Jeep enthusiasts who claim they'd buy one, but I wonder if those aren't in large part the people who are going to buy a new Jeep anyway, whether it's gas or diesel.
