starkmaster03
Anyone in the home air conditioning business? Came home from work today and the air conditioning isn't working. I was told it was blowing warm earlier then they shut if off and now when you try to turn it on it keeps blowing the circuit breaker. Anyone in the business or know anyone? Cordell
Blowing which circuit breaker? The 220v for the A/C unit? or the one for the furnace?
starkmaster03
The 40amp breaker for the AC.
Cordell
Sounds like something shorted in the outside unit or the motor took a shit. The outside unit is basically the compressor and condensor units just like a car with a few extra electrical parts, if its blowing that beaker then it has to be in that unit. Tell your Dad to start shopping.
starkmaster03
Yeah that's what I told him. It's at least 15 years old.
MrMeanGreen
AirQuest Heating & Cooling. They hook CR up and came out last Saturday to install a new unit since the motor on my 24yo unit went out. 866-COOL
