iwashmycar
Sounds like a potential nightmare lol. And you get to fork over the cash for the parts! But IF it works, it would be amazing

But IF it works, it would be amazing Current set up is nearly a 50/50 weight distribution (53/47 to be exact), so thatll get fucked. you could always just get the MASSIVE 52 hp turbo set up http://jalopnik.com/5927631/the-first-turbocharged-subaru-brz-adds-545-horsepower
Not Brian
Current set up is nearly a 50/50 weight distribution (53/47 to be exact), so thatll get fucked. an LS3 longblock only weighs 415lbs.

Farkas
an LS3 longblock only weighs 415lbs. Okay, and what's your point?
Sturg1647545502
He's trying to say the weight distribution wont be thrown off that much with an added LS3. I cant find how much the FA20 4U-GSE weighs
Not Brian
Okay, and what's your point? I don't know why people think V8 automatically equals elephant.. looks like they're going with an LS7 in the thread posted (150lbs heavier than stock)
Farkas
It's not just the weight that matters. The flat four has a really low center of gravity that's placed far back in the engine bay to keep that weight distribution. You're adding a lot more than just weight to the front of the car. Of course a good suspension setup can negate most effects of a swap like that, but it's not as simple as putting a different motor in. Not Brian
yeah sure you're probably right.. All I'm saying is the few extra pounds up front is a drip in the bucket compared to the added 300hp.
Draco-REX
you could always just get the MASSIVE 52 hp turbo set up You should probably research more than just reading one article that was based off of one post on FT86Club. You don't start development at maximum boost....
Littleguy
I'd love an LS FR-S.
Orion
yeah sure you're probably right.. All I'm saying is the few extra pounds up front is a drip in the bucket compared to the added 300hp. Something tells me that the addition 300hp will make it just as easy, if not easier, to kick the rear end out.
Not Brian
Remember the Civette? That thing was an ice cube on a frying pan. Fun to watch, but worthless to drive.
kirks5oh
so that cuts about 10 seconds off the 3:00 it took the other car to hit 147mph top speed?
Forrest Gump 9
Perfect drift car. The world's automotive makers should take hint, stop making engines. Just build chassis and contract GM for the LSX.
