jeffro
1988 Four Winns 235 sundowner. 460 King cobra engine. Carbed. Carb isnt getting gas. If i pump the throttle, just a little bit squirts down into the carb, but it just wont stay running. Worked just fine last season when we winterized it. If i put starting fluid in it it will run until the starting fluid burns up. I know NOTHING about carbed engines. Where do i even begin? 351mach11647545510
could be many things. im assuming mechanical pump, it could be the pump, a stuck float needle, corrosion to the venturi tubes, etc. best to make sure your pump is working and then if all is good there, probably time for a rebuild

To the best of my knowledge its a mechanical pump. Which I assumed works off vacuum.
Dave1647545494
check for clogged fuel filter, collapsed feed hose, worn fuel pump arm, or excessive wear on the cam lobe that drives the pump arm.
