Nathan is officially intrigued by next years model now that its announced it will have a turbo (who didn't see that coming?)

if it is turbo i will buy one. unless nissan is going to introduce something similar....Actually, my goal by the end of 2013 is to sell my lexus and have a GTR as my daily, s14 240sx as my trackcar, and a datsun 240z as my cars/coffee car....

Not a bad way to spend 100 grand.

I'd like to see where it's confirmed there will be a turbo. All I see now are rumors. There has never been a secret that a turbo FA20 is being built, it already exists in Japan. But the big question was whether it would be put under the BRZ's hood. As far as I know, that hasn't been confirmed.

"Inside Sources" is just journalism-speak for "Shit I just thought up". According to "inside sources" the 2008 STI was supposed to be a 3-door hatch with 350hp. Nothing's confirmed until Subaru comes out and says it, or it's sitting on a plinth at the Tokyo Auto Show.

Now, that said, I hope they come out with a forced induction version. This car is VERY fun to drive, and giving it more power till entice more people to give it a try. If anything, when other competitors hit the market it'll help them keep a step ahead.

Those both have the Rocket Bunny/TRUST/Greddy body kit. If I build up my BRZ when it's out of warranty, I want the fenders from that kit. Though I think the kit's rear wing is a bit over-done. I'd probabaly go with a more functional wing, and a splitter for the front.

LOL 2012 owners must be pissed!

I'm not. I'm really enjoying N/A response right now. I'm also wondering how well the turbo FA20 will hold up. If they change the pistons, will we see the same issues the STI's are seeing? Or will it also be as stout as the current N/A engines? I might be sitting on a more desirable engine. Stranger things have happened.

Speaking of engines:

Yeah, it was only a matter of time.

Here's another widebody, with shades of DTM:

I'll double check later to be sure, but I believe it has been confirmed as a 2014 model(Subaru). It will be a direct injection turbo. Supposedly, it won't be using the hybrid injection system currently in use. Rumors of around 280hp and that it WILL NOT be the BRZ STI leaving room for an even further upgraded model I would assume.
