Bmw aux input kit?

Was searching the bmw forums and came across this part number #82-11-0-149-389 for a e46 non nav radio. Looks very simple but was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with adding a aux input to the factory e46 radio??

Never did it to mine, but IIRC you just need to pull your radio, plug it in and run the wire.

that is what it looks like. There was another popular write up but it had you hack inbto the changer and trick the radio to think it was a cd etc sounds like it worked but not how I wanted to do it. This chord looks pretty plug and play
