Bring on the snow. Not sure how it will effect winter, but scientists where just talking about el nino not developing. It started to and then reversed and they haven't seen that happen yet so aren't sure what to expect as a result.

If its gonna be crappy out I want snow measured in yards;-)

fuck. i am not ready to deal with snow. havent had to in 6 years :( how bad does it typically get here in ohio?

Most snowfalls are only 1-4 inches. However, people freak when it snow and flip the terrible driver switch. Sometimes we see snows 6-12 but those arent very often. Few years ago we had 20 inches.

Don't forget the ice storm we had last year.

I would just like a snowy Christmas for once. But I can see it being like the last two years: Mild until the first of the year, then it gets insanely cold and we get two big blizzards at once at the end of January/beginning of February.

I can't remember the last white X-mas we had.

That's because Columbus drivers + snow = 12/21/2012

Because most columbus drivers are either like this

Or This...

when it is a little as a light drizzle or a few flakes on the side of the road.

Hurricane Sandy will bring wind, rain and even snow to Ohio. Latest computer models are still showing an accumulating snow across the eastern half of Ohio Monday night into Tuesday. Heavy, wet snow will snap trees and power lines across West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Snowfall amounts on this chart range from an inch around Columbus to almost five in extreme Eastern Ohio. Remember... any change in the hurricane's path will alter these numbers. This just gives us a general idea of what we might expect early next week.

A normal day that begins and ends like any other day? Doesn't sound like winter driving in columbus to me.

You didn't get the Mayan calendar reference?
