nurkvinny
Tough not to buy this mossberg 22lr AR wannabe for $229. I know they are 99% plastic, only for looks guns. But, are they as fun as they seem to be for that price? I already have some high quality 22 rifles. Is this one worth having just for the shits and giggles factor? http://cdn2.armslist.com/sites/armslist/uploads/posts/2012/03/30/352537_01_new_mossberg_715_tactical_22_r_640.jpg
KillJoy
I think Good Paul had one.... called it cheap. If you want a fun plinker that is cheap that looks like an AR, sure. If you want a nice plinker that looks like an AR, get the S&W 15-22. If you want the BEST semi 22lr plinker made, get a 10/22. KillJoy
Rustlestiltskin
Had one then sold it. All plastic, felt like holding a nerf/water gun but was reliable and shot straight. Wouldn't own one again
nurkvinny
Killjoy - See, that's the thing. I already have a good 10/22, and a very nice Kimber 22... I'm not looking to improve on those. Just something different to waste a bulk box or 3 through before selling it and moving onto something different again
KillJoy
Have your tried a Henry Lever or Henry Pump... Loads of fun! More so then you would think!!! KillJoy
nurkvinny
Nope, never shot either.
KillJoy
I have a Lever, and it is a FUCKING HOOT!!!!! Everyone who has shot it ended with a smile! I am picking up the Pump soon.... KillJoy PS - All shooting was on steel targets.... NOT paper at the range...
copperhead
Mossberg is terrible. Would not even consider. I'd rather get a dedicated .22 upper made by a good company and just toss it onto whatever lower when I felt like playing with it. Or I'd get one of the cheap lever action .22's that are in the Vance's ad all the time.
Ramsey
I bought a 10/22 and added the archangel kit and it feels great.
BStowers023
I saw that at Vance's as well. I held it and immediately didn't like it. It does look cool though, to non gun people, they would think it's a nice scary looking assault rifle.
copperhead
I'm surprised they don't have rails on the stock or the grip. I guess its only a matter of time, because more rails means MORE TACTICOOL
Avenger1647545502
Wait, where's the muzzle brake?
gillbot
I was going to pick up one of these and decided to pass. It's basically a 702 plinkster in a different wrapper. Google it, you'll get the details and all the reviews you could ever want. Doesn't seem to be bad, but basically WAY overpriced for what it is. EssFo
I've been eyeing the H&K MP5 A5 .22 LR for a plinker. Looks pretty cool, not too expensive. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/images/hiRes/61756.jpg

EGOKILLER
I've got a gsg 522 and I really enjoy plinking with it. It shoots fairly good once you get the mags broke in and there are some tacticool parts for them as well to make them a little more fun. Benner
I suggest a Marlin 60 with muzzellite bullpup conversion. Or a Marlin 60 and this. http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f21/marlin-60s-came-bullpup-conversions-75137/ http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj32/Formula98/8126641870_77e0f65ff2_b.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj32/Formula98/8128495282_e06c5dbf6c_c.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj32/Formula98/8128495210_d358f5353d_c.jpg

I had a Colt AR-15-22...worst piece of shit I've ever owned.
motozachl
egokiller those conversions are sweet, probably feel like shooting airsoft guns though I imagine. OP get a 15-22 and you won't want to sell it

Benner
Why is there a magazine? Just for looks. Read the thread and the guy makes them out of either airsoft guns or buys the stocks. He was talking about adapting the magazine for an ammo storage container.
