The place is so damn dark (from a photographers viewpoint) but its definitely unique. My other qualm is.. Where do your guests park?

We parked at the lot 1/2 block down on Gay. I believe the Vault provides either valet parking or a parking token. Don't remember.

10k wedding for 75 to 100 people, it's doable but you gotta put some work into it. You can get your Photographer from CR. :) Trish has amazing prices compared to the photographer my fiancee decided to book.

Doin the work isnt an issue for either of us. Id rather us do it to save a little money than go overboard...least I can keep her undercontrol with the money lol.

She emailed one photographer that lives here in Ohio that travels too for people...Blink of An Eye I believe her business is called. Idk...

Yeah and as stated, the bar and DJ make the party. If one or both of those sucks, game over. Nobody cared about our amazing cake, or shitty photographer lol

It's been over a year and-a-half and we still get compliments and "remember this or that from your wedding".

"Cake" (cupcake cake) is being set up by a company called Ele Cake company here in Beavercreek, Oh....they are some DELICIOUS cupcakes...

Havent gotten to the DJ part yet...who did you use?

We are still on the DJ part, one of the last ones that has to be booked. Our wedding planner has one in mind that she has good experiences with it before.

My Vendors

Cake- Anita Kline (she doesn't advertise at all, she works from home and is one of the best in columbus and since she has no overhead, her prices are amazing. She is usually booked out past a year though just through word of mouth and reviews on the Knot.)

Photographer- Nichole Dixon Photography ( She is one of the best in Central Ohio, but she comes with a pretty hefty price tag)

Cater- Berwick Manor Catering

Wedding planner - The Finer Things Event Planning

http://thefinerthingseventplanning.com/

Florist- POSY Floral

http://www.posyflorals.com/

Save the Dates - Wedding Paper Divas

Invitations- Occasionally Custom

That's all I can think of right now. It's a big wedding, 250 guests. You really don't need a wedding planner but it does help a ton. The experience she brings saved us a ton of time. Plus her connections have saved us quiet a lot of money.

We are having an Open Bar and Berwick Manor allows us to bring our own Alcohol. That is a big money saver as well.

BTW, Remember they want to hear your opinion. But it rarely matter in the decision making... :lolguy:

I used Rob at Encore Entertainment.

http://encorediscjockey.com/#

He was a little pricey IIR, from what we researched. I think we got a slight discount since Rob would DJ events at JLiu, where my wife worked at the time.

He pretty much ran the night, kept to schedule, and did really well. Money well spent IMO.

And I know I said bar and DJ make the party, which is true. MOST importantly are the guests you invite. We had more friends there than we did family lol....granted we have pretty "fun" families. One important thing that really paid off (for us) was no kids (except the ring bearer and flower girl). Only one cousin seemed put off by it, but it was mainly to keep one of my wife's cousin's devil children far far away! In the end the ones who would have had their kids there had a freaking blast and were very happy.

Some places will not let you bring in food Vendors unless they are "on their list"...

I has my reception at the anthenaeum in the large theater.

Don't go there in the summer. My sisters wedding was there and it was very hot inside due to poor working a/c. It was hot when my mom and sister went and looked at the place and the person showing them around said it was because the a/c wasn't on or turned down very low and that they would crank it on the day of the event. :dumb: Other than that it was a nice venue.

Well shes in love with Grand Oaks from the pictures on their website and has set up an appointment next Tues night. Gave us some pricing and is going to go over more when we're there. $2500 for Sat night 6-Midnight and $2k for open bar...but they dont supply food...but work with a catering company they highly recommend.

I can get you a good price on a wedding cake.

I thought you don't involve yourself with that. :yuno:

Bryce ecks center in upper Arlington $800 for the whole day/night. Beautiful and super easy to with with.

Maybe listen to her about the venue, but don't take any honeymoon advice from them. :dumb:

Encore entertainment was the DJ service that our wedding planner recommended, we are meeting with someone from there sometime next week.

My friend got married earlier this year at The Vault downtown. Neat little place off E. Gay Street.

VaultBanquets.com

We had about 120 people with both the ceremony and reception at The Vault. The owner cut the price in half for us since we did it on a Friday night if cost is a concern but overall prices aren’t that bad for a Saturday either. For some of the pre-wedding photos the guys went to North Bank Park which is about 5 minutes away and the girls had their's done in the hotel across the street. They have the bar for the reception inside the vault which was pretty cool.

One plus is you can bring in any cater you like. We were planning on Station 67 but the food wasn’t that good. It's a beautiful place though.

The place is so damn dark (from a photographers viewpoint) but its definitely unique. My other qualm is.. Where do your guests park?

We parked at the lot 1/2 block down on Gay. I believe the Vault provides either valet parking or a parking token. Don't remember.

Valet gave you directions of where to park with a pass for your car. We had 2 lots availabe, both about the same distance apart. The parking you have to work out with the parking company which is a completely seperate deal, not a hassle, just one more thing to do.
