Tshensley
Subaru BRZ LSX Swap In Progress http://www.lsxtv.com/news/someone-finally-swapped-a-lsx-engine-into-a-subaru-brz/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=someone-finally-swapped-a-lsx-engine-into-a-subaru-brz Weapons Grade Performance decided that a LS2 engine from a Pontiac GTO was the best solution to their power conundrum, and as it turns out the engine fits quite nicely under the stock hood of a BRZ. The engine is still a long way from actually being a working power plant, and we’d hate to be the guy charged with wiring that sucker up. Cordell
Well that just spoiled the car, the center of gravity is totally ruined, so is the balance. I'm sure it'll be fun to blow the tires off, but you could've done that with anything. What a waste.
POS VETT
What makes sense, by now, is to simply buy a Corvette.
Draco-REX
What makes sense, by now, is to simply buy a Corvette. Aside from being able to fit more people/cargo into the BRZ, I have to agree.

POS VETT
Carrying more cargo or more people in a sports car is irrelevant. I have a Silverado to carry more cargo AND people.
BigOxley
i'm not sure throwing all that weight in the front of the car will make it as pleasurable of a car even with the power. looks like the ls2 is about 100lbs heavier than a fa20. might throw the car outta wack
AudiOn19s
This is a BRZ / FRS that makes sense http://elementtuning.com/store/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Element-UTCC-BCRacing.jpg http://elementtuning.com/store/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/DSC05850-e1343146058366.jpg But honestly...running 285 hoosier radial slicks (one of the faster slicks on the market currently) and still only posting practice times of around 2:20 and to eek out a flying TT lap of 2:17 at VIR is...well....ummmmmm still pretty slow. brent1976
Why have we not seen a 2.5 turbo Sti swap yet?
BigOxley
Why have we not seen a 2.5 turbo Sti swap yet? just easier boosting the stock engine, i guess. all of the tuners are just boosting the fa20. running into transmission problems. a couple are just now getting into the engines. Forrest Gump 9
If I buy one of these it will have a K20 turbo or a 4g63. To me, the 4 cyclinder boxer engine is too complex.

kirks5oh
Have you driven one yet? (Sincerely just curious, not trying to set you up to hate). i buy my cars without driving them first. sometimes its a good decision, sometimes its not. in order for me to drive one of these, i'd have to buy it first. i just don't see myself buying a 200hp vehicle at this time--unless i'm buying a 'safe' car for my kids when they turn 16 (in 11 years). who knows, stranger things have happened. maybe i'll just buy one

mischief
the reason why people buy these cars are not because of the horsepower. It is just like all the people that buy Miata's, they are "driver" cars. I am not saying that I would purchase one myself but I heard they are a great ride. V8 Beast
Put in LSx engine Reduce 50lbs from the front end Add suspension through rest of car to help even out weight and add stability Add adjustable parts to add appropriate downforce Test and adjust until you can Auto x like a bauce! -or- Put in LSx engine Do burnouts like a bauce Make cool videos of pipe shots and mad dashes in front of your house Have a certified conversation starter at parking lot meets
maxxnitro88
just buy a corvette then take out the engine from the corvette then throwaway the corvette then use the corvette torque tube thingy and make it overly complex like a corvette... would be almost as cool as a corvette
