JuicedH22
Just figured I would document the changes that have been going on this winter. For those that dont know, I cracked a piston ring land in November racing. Instead of just replacing the cracked piston, I got caught up in the "might as wells" and ended up blowing my drivetrain funds to redo the powertrain... So now I will really be worried about how long this stock drivetrain will last before I am forced to upgrade/replace.... here is the last build: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101372 Here are the upgrades: Modifying the TFS235 heads; opening the exhaust port diameter and doing a nitrous port valve job and replacing the intake valves with LS3 hollow-stem valves. 416ci, engine building by All In Racing Engines -Callies Compstar 4" crankshaft -K1 Technologies rods -Wiseco -3.2cc flat-top X-series pistons. -custom spec cam by Brian Tooley: 247/255 624/624 113+3 -Cloyes hex-a-just single roller, reusing my C5R chain -LS9 headgaskets -McLeod RXT clutch (upgrading from my RST) -Fidanza Aluminum flywheel -ARP main studs -ARP head studs -LG Motorsports 1 7/8" SuperPro headers/x-pipe -Nick Williams 102TB -FAST fuel rails (special production black finish) from Hinson -SD 60lb injectors, LS3 height -Torrent fuel line kit (by Hinson) -Holley valve covers (black finish) -LS3 coils -Hinson urethane motor mounts and transmission mount -Lingenfelter 2-step Launch Controller (LNC-003) -External oil cooler setup (B&M super cooler, -10 lines, Improved Racing adapter block) -Nitrous Outlet n2o setup... TBD (only thing purchased for that so far is hte standalone fuel kit... minus the fuel cell which I will be fabricating myself - lilmiller motivated me on that one.) JuicedH22
Not a whole lot of pictures this time around, other than some random parts. I plan on taking more of the engine work and assembly... and will for the fabrication stuff (oil cooler fab, and standalone tank) http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/4F87D178-DB7A-44DD-8048-A65A08D54028-3039-0000042B5FE31B95.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/F6C8F436-1F10-4979-BBA8-98AECC9019F7-3154-000003801F541D83_zpsfbe176e3.jpg

EssFo
You'll be fine unless Kil Kare installs some concrete pillars close to the track.

JuicedH22
Dat head Same head as last year... just sent them back to have the exhaust port opened up and a nitrous-port and valve job added, as well as LS3 intake valves to drop the valvetrain mass... and for some reason that I still havent had answered, they milled another 0.05" off the heads.... JuicedH22
I will be back with more details later, but wanted to make a quick update before heading down to Gatlinburg for hte weekend. Got the car on the dyno for a couple base pulls (no tuning). Here is a plot compared to my setup last year. Definitely room to open it up. First and foremost getting rid of the 2.5" stock axle-back exhaust.... a friend of mine with a 427 c5z on the same dyno picked up 20whp by taking off the stock ti exhaust... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/Juicy416_zpsaf5882ca.jpg Either way, it rips good on motor on the street... now for the giggle gas... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/null_zps8c33c69b.jpg and new seats... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/null_zps4a9226a8.jpg
Not Brian
I like those seats. Are you going to install harnesses?
99StockGT
Seats look great for the car, doesn't destroy the stock look at all and shouldn't ad TOO much discomfort to the get in / get out versus a stock Vette experience. What size shot are you looking to run?
DKilbourne
Good for 10s on motor. Friends 03Z makes 475ish and goes 11.1x. Full weight. Time to step it up!

JuicedH22
Those LG's are a piece of art. Actually they're not... Chinese built for sure. But the design is nice except for one thing... this: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/null_zpsc47e72be.jpg
