jerrodh
Looking for a printer we want to order from Amazon because we have amazon prime, unless you know of another place that has a printer with free shipping. I have had a number of printers in the past and hated them all. This printer will be used 99% of the time for printing labels, resumes, and other word documents. I don't need crazy high quality image/color details, etc. Cheaper the better, also want the ink cartridges to be affordable too as far as the cheap goes as I know some can be very expensive. So what do you guys have that works well?
harmonda
I bought a Canon a few years ago because I could get cheap ink for it at that time. Not sure if that is the case for the newest models out there. Mine is an MP830. Hope that helps! gluck.

gaewsky1
I bought a Canon MG2120 from Walmart: Printer I couldn't be happier with it. Especially for the price. I haven't printed any photos yet but for regular printing, scanning and copying, it can't be beat.
Buck531
Does it need to be color? My son bought a Samsung laserjet printer from Micro Center last year for about $80 bucks. Network built into it so it doesn't need to be connected to a PC. Last a hell of a lot longer than ink does too.

mmrmnhrm
Just about any $100 laser ought to work for that type of printing, and tbh, you could probably find excellent condition used for less.

bicranium
Just had my parents buy one of these... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Epson+-+Expression+Home+XP-400+Small-in-One+Wireless+All-In-One+Printer/5512483.p?id=1218655166637&skuId=5512483 They had bought some handheld document scanner which made no sense for what they wanted to scan plus it was $99.99. At the time the printer was the same price. $20 cheaper now. Pretty nice unit for the price.
Tractor
Does it need to be color? My son bought a Samsung laserjet printer from Micro Center last year for about $80 bucks. Network built into it so it doesn't need to be connected to a PC. Last a hell of a lot longer than ink does too. This, printers are my business and I would never have another ink jet unless it was a seriously high end model and I printed a lot of large color photos or something. Otherwise ink printers are a money pit. The small "home office" sized printers by HP, and Brother are great for light printing duty. If your going to be printing no more than a couple dozen pages or less a month. If your printing more than a few hundred pages a month than step up to a small - mid sized HP and you'll have it for decades (yeah I work on printers all the time that are 15-20 yrs old which just need simple maintenance.) Any other questions I'll gladly help out. You could also contact my company if you wanted to see if they have any good prices on used laser printers, you never know what we might be getting ready to sell off to our wholesaler. JaSSon
Fuuuu, my Epson workforce 610 crapped out. Fail.
Not Brian
I buy the cheapest printers then sell em/throw them away when they run out of ink every few years. Wash, rinse, repeat. I don't need a laser guided fax machine spaceship for word documents.
TTQ B4U
I have a very nice Panasonic laser printer/fax scanner combo machine that you can have for $75. Great unit, $400 new, will post pics shortly. My wife used it as a fax machine in her law office. I believe we even have an extra toner cartridge too. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-FLB801-All-Flatbed-Laser/dp/B000FL601M http://img2.findthebest.com/sites/default/files/875/media/images/Panasonic_KX-FLB801.jpg http://www.panateknik.com/user_files/1/2/blog_images/2_103_KX-FA85-Toner.jpg Edited March 1, 2013 by TTQ B4U
