mrs.cos
All three of my Ash trees were confirmed with Ash Borer today. I am a very sad unhappy lady right now. Looking for bids to have them taken down all the way to grinding the stump. These are mature trees- I need to be able to replace them by the fall. Havent decided what to get yet.. but i need quotes. Who have you used? Alhum and Arbor gave us a quote. I think its high, but i know they are knowledgeable. Thanks in advance!
KennyFKINPowerz
I believe the city does it for free as part of the ash borer project. Place a request on the 311 website. http://311.columbus.gov/

Private Trees The City will create and maintain an EAB information page on the City’s website. The City strongly recommends that private property owners in infested neighborhoods remove their ash trees. The City will not order the removal of private ash trees unless the tree is infested and represents a potential hazard. The Forestry Section will work with the Code Enforcement Section on private tree removals to ensure public safety. Doesn't look like they will do it.. evan9381
^ nice. Took me a quick second, but well played. My dad had a bunch of big trees done by schmidt or schmitt tree service on westerville rd. think they paid $800/tree or so, but i could be wrong. i think it was just under 5k but he had 6-8 done. one was 24" diameter and so close to the house, the deck was built around it. Turbs3000
We had 3 taken out last year by some unknown family company. Obviously just remember what ever tree companies quote you, cut that in half and negotiate from there.
Tshensley
I just had my ash tree that was 50ft and 3.5ft wide dropped and grinded for 625. Although I'm doing cleanup and i get to keep the wood
ForeverMaker
I would just do it yourself. Buy or borrow a chainsaw. Not that hard.
GSXRAntwon
How tall are the trees? Are they near the house? PM me
mrs.cos
I would just do it yourself. Buy or borrow a chainsaw. Not that hard. We have some smaller trees (sweet guns) that we cut down but these are three EASILY 40'+ trees. We will not do this ourselves.
