My Camaro beyond 10 seconds

I'm sure most of you have seen an f-body with Torque Thrusts on it before, but for me it's just a continuation of my love affair with my Camaro. It's been almost 10 years since I got the car, and we've done so much since then. Learned so many lessons, blowing up the original engine, building a new one, running 10s in the quarter, and much more. At this point I don't have any goals for the car and this is where a lot of people would sell it. Well I'm attached to this car so I have no plans of ever selling it.

Here's what she looked like the last time I took my own pics. Shortly after making a handful of 10 second passes.

and this is what she looks like today, with new wheels and a "zero fucks given" attitude.

Looks good. Is it lowered? Seems high

No it still has the stock shocks and springs. I've been thinking about it, but I'm in no hurry to change the looks further.

Good looking car, does definitely need a little lowering. Did all Z/28's have the black top and SS's have it painted? Random thought, lol

No actually that is a year thing, 98s have a painted roof panel, 99 and up were all black. Since you brought it up the black ones all have crappy bubbling issues because of the way they glued them on.

Looks good Scott - those wheels make a huge difference. If you are going to lower it I recommend the Hotchkis lowering springs. I got countless compliments on my T/A's stance and it rode well.

You had 17x11s on the back of yours with 315s right? Did you ever have any issues needing your fenders rolled?

Ok that makes sense, car definitely looks unique/good with the White/Black combo, can definitely see it looking distorted on an NBM or SOM car

I did, no rubbing but I was running a rather narrow 315 (sumitomos). No rolling of fenders.

Good to know, these Nittos seem narrower like that. So I'm thinking I should be good with a mild drop. It'll happen eventually.

and again thanks for all the kind words everybody.

That is a 1-1.25 inch drop - the only thing that scraped was the y-pipe and I did not do a great job of tucking that.

I miss that car, I always enjoyed looking at it when you had it. Had I not ran into the great deal I got on these torque thrusts I would've bought some chrome ZR1s.

What meats you got out back?

555Rs Honestly short of the Sumitomos I didn't like they were cheaper then most tires in 315-35-17s. Tires I liked the look of and cost were the only deciding factors on this one.
