turbospec29
As some of you may know I picked up this beast early last summer from Mr. Linn. Here was his build thread and progress, http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89368&page=8 His goal was to break the 80mph barrier, sadly I don't think he ever did. It was pretty hard on the limiter so I added 1 degree to the prop pitch, good for 1 mph. The fuel pressure was set to the moon in order to keep the big charger happy, so in went to some larger injectors (42lb to 48lb) and lowered the pressure a little. Rode it this way most of last summer and had some moments of high rpm, 8160+ so I was most likely hitting the 80 mark just don't have proof. Now I'm taking things to the next level... On to this season, I'm gonna say the goal is 83mph (GPS verified this time), but all roads lead me to believe the boat will have an 85 in it on "kill mode". 100rpm gained = about 1mph. As I can add pitch to the prop and go faster. Should be making about 350hp with these mods. Thats a 1.5 liter engine at 14psi spinning 8100rpm+ the whole time. :fuckyeah: http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc154/keit29/IMG_20130506_172804_660_zps36db69f2.jpg New ported exhaust with torq spacer(adds 100rpm) http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc154/keit29/IMG_20130506_172836_866_zps9f22518d.jpg New High efficiency intercooler (should add about 300-400rpm) old on left http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc154/keit29/IMG_20130506_172707_803_zps5fc49b25.jpg 08+ waterbox conversion with TDR waterbox (sounds awesome) :masturboy: the old water box is on the right, it was loud before now it will be insane. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc154/keit29/IMG_20130506_172554_831_zps03ece347.jpg

XChris1632X
New ecu with more rpm > big charger any day. Who's i/c kit did you buy?
turbospec29
New ecu with more rpm > big charger any day. Who's i/c kit did you buy? Maybe so, but you work with what you have and rpm kills engines. Also the ecu is sorta like cheating. Its easy rpm, so I can always do that later. ...if I feel the need to go faster and kill myself :dumb:
Bam
Schweet! Let us know if the 18th is a go, I'll bring my ski out.

Linn1647545492
New ecu with more rpm > big charger any day. Who's i/c kit did you buy? ECU is guaranteed 3 MPH. Keith and I have had long conversations about going after the stock ECU record, which I believe is still 83.6 that Duke set with an ET race charger and ported head.
