cstmg8
FYI, the Lowes near me has this kit on sale for $12 5/8" & 13/16" spark plug sockets, jointed ratchet, and extension. You don't have to like kobalt, it's lifetime guarantee. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/29/yzu3ahe7.jpg
Patrick
I suggest this post be moved to a different forum. But that's not a terrible deal.
Cordell
I suggest this post be moved to a different forum. But that's not a terrible deal. Good idea. and that is a pretty good deal. I've bought a couple Kobalt tools in a pinch before and they worked out well, like them better then Craftsman.

MattKatz
I've almost completely switched over to kobalt from craftsman.....much nicer tools than today's crapsmans.
kirks5oh
Thanks for the heads up. I have to go to lowes anyways tomorrow
mrhobbz
I own a few kobalt socket/ratchet sets. Definitely seem better made than newer craftsman stuff. I'll take an OLD craftsman any day though. The decade(s) old craftsman stuff I inherited are built like tanks
lag wagon
Kobalt used to be rebranded JH Williams tools (Snap-on). Very good stuff. Later on they used Danaher (same Taiwan mfg as Craftsman. Still better IMO). Here's the BS: If you take a USA-made tool from 2006 in for the "lifetime warranty" - now you'll get a Chinese replacement. Not complaining. $12 is a good deal. :gabe:

For future reference, which area should it be in? The set came in handy tonight, swapping my TR5's, except the extension, too long.

unfunnyryan
I think I'll pick one of these up to go with my road kit. That craftsman kit deal that was posted here not long ago doesnt come with spark plug sockets or extensions. Plus, for light duty use the Kobalt stuff I've grabbed has been very good so far. I hate myself for not personally owning more MAC stuff. My dad worked for MAC for 25+ years
