Sturg1647545502
SO my Gateway NV55C laptop screen is positional. Positional in that if the lid is not either in the right position or manually twisted the video feed to the screen stops and quickly fades to white, starting to fade on the R upper and lower corners first. Assumably this is due to a poor connection. There is a youtube video that will walk me through getting to the connection but my concern is what if the screen connection is ok...where do i go from there? Any pointers? http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk57/snowdoc83/20130704_092045_zpsfbb4b79d.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk57/snowdoc83/20130704_092059_zps9a25e6d5.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk57/snowdoc83/20130704_092106_zpsabf10874.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk57/snowdoc83/20130704_092118_zpsed045869.jpg Also there might be a 6 pack of fat tire to anyone who offers up solid help http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk57/snowdoc83/20130702_130532_zpsb1dd47d6.jpg Edited July 4, 2013 by Sturg
justinwebb
Loose connection or a pinched video cable that the ribbon might be shorting out. Only way to know is to follow the cable and look at its condition. I really don't see the motherboard or LCD being a issue.
WrxRcr
I have seen one fade to black and the cause was the lcd. Pretty easy to replace.
