Buckeye1647545503
IDK I know many were getting good MPG's with c5 zo6's ....
zeitgeist57
Very efficient engine, drivetrain, and lightweight+aerodynamic car = MAKES SCENTS. Add some low-rolling-resistance 205-series tires and I'll bet you could get a Corvette to do 36mpg.
BigOxley
chugging along in 7th gear at 63mph, sure. I've seen quite a few Corvette owners doing less.
Linn1647545492
When my Camaro was a bolt on car at 70 it would get 31 MPG. As a H/C car it was at 26 MPG and as a built motor car it gets 24 MPG.

smokinHawk1647545499
ya i thought a lot of 97-2003 vettes would get 30+ on the highway. my heavy 99 TA would average 25mpg with normal driving when it was stock, and could see 28-29mpg on long trips. kirks5oh
not hard to believe. i recorded 27.5mpg on a 2.5 hour trip to chicago in my ls2 GTO, cruising on the freeway. why would it be hard to imagine a car weighing 400-500lbs less doing so, with a more efficient motor and much better aero. not sure how much my vette would get right now on the freeway, but the car has always been pretty good on gas
SpaceGhost
Isn't the last gear insanely tall to drop the RPMs under 2k at 65mph?
Aesthetic_Influx
Even if it's not the first — it's still pretty awesome.

2 Sweet
Not surprised one bit. My dad's LS3 C6 has seen 34mpg on the highway. Hell my bolt-on LS1 6-speed f-body could get 30.
Littleguy
Isn't the last gear insanely tall to drop the RPMs under 2k at 65mph? My RX-7 is at about 1900rpm @ 75mph. Good for about 25mpg on the highway.
