So in 2006 we bought what we thought were REALLY NICE washer and dryers.

Spent about a 1000 on each of them LG, super pretty fancy, HE drying sensor all that bullshit..

Well they have BOTH crapped out on me in the last year and as of today the dryer is officially done.

I need to buy a dryer today.

Im not spending over 500 on one, if they dont make this shit to last anymore, im not buying nice ones anymore.

So.. what brands should i stick with?

https://partners.whirlpool.com/viplogin.jsp

now find a friend that works for whirlpool or has login info from an employee, for the site. extremely big discounts to be had

Um, it's on sale at BestBuy for 499. That's cheaper than you can get through the partner program, and you'd still have to pay delivery.

like i said, you need a log in from an employee, you cant just make your own log in and get the deep discounts

plus there is a hub in the columbus area. so you wouldnt have to pay for shipping

Well i went and looked at it.. and i have a question

I foudn this at Lowes-- and it looks pretty similar for 494 with delivery and takeaway

http://www.sears.com/maytag-bravos-x-7.4-cu-ft-electric/p-02643872000P

I kinda like that they are made in USA (no clud about internals.. are they all made here?)

For instance, Whirlpool’s Cabrio and Vantage and Maytag’s Maxima and Bravos washers and dryers are made in Clyde, Ohio and Marion, Ohio.

(i dont know anywone at whirlpool so that is a moot point.

Good deal. I have a log in, but the partner discount isn't that good.

Pretty sure whirlpool makes the Maytag, as it's also available on the employee/partner discount site. Sometimes they strip some features off for the lower models, but I ASSume they are similar in construction.

Im content.. At lowes for 494 right now. Going to buy it here in about 20 mins
