mrs.cos
So in 2006 we bought what we thought were REALLY NICE washer and dryers. Spent about a 1000 on each of them LG, super pretty fancy, HE drying sensor all that bullshit.. Well they have BOTH crapped out on me in the last year and as of today the dryer is officially done. I need to buy a dryer today. Im not spending over 500 on one, if they dont make this shit to last anymore, im not buying nice ones anymore. So.. what brands should i stick with? 87GT
I bought a used maytag washer and dryer from a moving sale back in 2006 and they still work. If I buy new ones I will only get maytag.

That's cheaper than you can get through the partner program, and you'd still have to pay delivery.
KillJoy
We picked up a new HE W&D from Lowe's about 3 months ago. They were $1200 together. If you stick with knobs instead of buttons and solid instead of glass, you will save a TON of $$$... KillJoy

mrs.cos
Well i went and looked at it.. and i have a question I foudn this at Lowes-- and it looks pretty similar for 494 with delivery and takeaway http://www.sears.com/maytag-bravos-x-7.4-cu-ft-electric/p-02643872000P I kinda like that they are made in USA (no clud about internals.. are they all made here?) For instance, Whirlpool’s Cabrio and Vantage and Maytag’s Maxima and Bravos washers and dryers are made in Clyde, Ohio and Marion, Ohio. (i dont know anywone at whirlpool so that is a moot point. Sometimes they strip some features off for the lower models, but I ASSume they are similar in construction.
