I personally, really liked it. I have thought Chevy really has been missing the target with the corvettes for some time. I think this one will sell fast. Btw, on the road closing for the MAG 50th anniversary event for Lamborghini, it really sucked. A police escort usually means you get to drive over the speed limit, this was a 40- 45mph parade downtown. Not fun at all.

I saw a black C7 "Stingray" at the vette show in Lancaster over the weekend. I'll admit that I am always slow to warm up to new generations of vettes. But I usually find something I like and then it grows from there. With the C5 I thought it was too plain. Now it is my second favorite generation style-wise after the early C3s. I thought the C6 was too angular the fixed headlights too foriegn. After driving my C6Z for a few years the whole look seems to fit. It is a modern interpretation of the same theme. The C7 is an exception. I don't see anything there that says corvette to me. Looks like a Fisker or something like that with a camaro rear-end tacked on. Just about everywhere you look on the car it is awkward and unidentifiable as a vette. I predict there will be a major re-styling mid-generation on this one. It is just too damn ugly.

When you see the C7 next to a C6, the styling is revolutionary without losing subtle ties to older Corvettes. It's definitely not as clean as late C4/C5/C6 styling (busy, angular exterior) but the rear quarters look a lot more Ferrari than people give it credit for. I'm not sure if GM thinks they can steal Ferrari buyers away with a $51-$100k sports car but the performance numbers are seriously impressive, especially at that price point.

As a former 'Vette owner myself, I saw my FiL on Sunday (has owned 'Vettes since the '80s and currently DDs a 2003 Z06) and the first thing he asked me was what I thought of the C7. We had discussed it on numerous occasions over the last 12-18 months as he's been thinking about replacing his Z06. I told him without hesitation I thought it was an amazing car to behold for the price.

STILL...I have some reservations about auto reliability in general for first-year models, and I question GM quality as of late...especially with the teething problems other cars have shown with DI engines.

Time will tell, but I'm definitely a fan!!! Look forward to seeing them more and more.

The yellow one, not so much.

The red one looks fine, if not good, to me. I anticipate that I'll like it more and more the closer I get to actually buying one. If I'm standing next to one on the showroom floor, I'm probably rambling on and on about how exotic it looks and how much I can appreciate the changes in person, blah blah fucking blah. I know me.

In person, the yellow looked better than the black...but moreso because of the bright contrast to the black accents.

White would be a sharp color on a C7 fo'sho'. Especially if a potential owner was considering another car at one point...
