which would you buy? the sheild or m&pc? both in 40. looked at both of them and was surprised by the fact they are not much different in size at all. bigger slide in the C and bit heavier. hell the shield is actually a smidge taller then the C. anyways whats your input owners?

C. I had a shield and sold it to get the C simply because of the weight. The shield is nice, but since it's so lightweight it has more recoil than I'd like.

+1

I have a M&P40c. I like the extra rounds and am not bothered by the extra width over the shield

I'd get the shield since slightly smaller is still slightly smaller, but you also have to be realistic about your plans for the gun.

A) take it to the range and shoot a bit

B) 99% concealed carry, self defence only

If its (A) then I'd get a full size. If its (B) I'd get the smallest (easiest to carry) and cheapest because the target is gonna be very close and your gun is gonna end up in a evidence locker if it ever gets used for its intended purpose.

I have a 9mm Shield. The trigger is a bit crunchy, but from what I'm told its better than most M&P triggers. Otherwise, recoil isn't bad at all, its comfortable to shoot, and it conceals super easy. Other than the trigger, my only complaint is that there is a textured section of the trigger guard where your middle finger rests against it, that will rub your finger after firing or dry firing for a while.
