In ground pool v. fencing

Looking to find info where a safety key-coded electric cover can be used in lieu of fencing.

Anyone ever get around the fence requirement? The cover when closed is safer than any gate. It says it will support a ton of weight, the guy who installed it walked on it.

If you leave the cover off, the fence deters people from drowning.

Fixt. Leave the gate open or somebody climbs the fence and they drown. When the gate is closed people can still drown. When the cover is closed, no one will drown. It meets the code rating for 498 lbs per square foot. It is an electric cover that takes second to open or close and it is better for the pool and chemicals to be closed. So, it will be closed when not in use.

My company installs a ton of fence around pools. To my knowledge atleast in Franklin/Delaware county you have to have a fence w/ locking gate for an inground pool.

I have fence around my in ground pool. The other option is very expensive and more things that could break.

already have the autocover.

Good luck with insurance without a fence as well.

the auto cover is equal in the ins eyes. this is just for permitting.

So if your yard already has a fence (privacy fence) around it you have to have another fence around the inground pool

I believe you would just have to add auto closures to the exits from the house into the back yard.
