FWIW I normally change my wife's car around 50% on the maintenance reminder which is close to 5,000 miles. Over the winter once when I didn't want to get under it in the garage I let it go down to 20% which was around 7,500 miles.

 

Haven't had any oil consumption issues on her 3.2 using Mobil 1 for the past 46k miles.

 

Yeah, I planned on doing it around then. It's still at 100% currently, and I've driven 250 miles. I'm pretty happy about that lol.

There's a writeup on acurazine on how to replace the pressure switches in the transmission and perform a "3 x 3 flush" of the fluid. Look into that for good preventative maintenance.

 

I'm also assuming with the mileage that the timing belt was done already?
