Rally Pat
You might be mixing up his requests. He might be asking for a better graphics card in addition to a video capture device, they don't do the same thing. GeForce 210's are very low range video cards that are good for browsing the web, but that's about it (we use them at work). A video capture device does pretty much whats advertised, it captures video. With the recent trend of game play videos being super popular to produce for youtube, there have been lots of gaming-specific capture devices released. You're best bet is probably to look up video reviews on YouTube. I know a lot of people like the Avermedia Game Capture HD II as a solid low range option. As for what graphics card he wants, that depends on the games he wants to play. You could get away with a mid range $250 card if you just wanted things to be playable. bicranium
This is a pretty solid and popular capture device among Twitch.tv streamers and Youtube uploaders... http://www.gamecapture.com/ As for the video card I'm worthless. bucd
so i was just told by my son he is on steam so what would be a good size for playing games on steam.... That really depends on the games he play. Steam is just another way to buy your games and it easily accessivke via your account. If you list the games that he play, im sure we can help you out. If you dont mind buying used, you can probably get some decent deals. Also, list PC specs if you can. Motherboard, cpu, ram, ect. Power supply is key here as well, if you have the exact model. We can recomend best card for the pc you have and in whatever budget you have as well. -D

JaSSon
http://www.microcenter.com/product/416251/VCGGTX7602XPB_NVIDIA_GeForce_GTX_760_2048MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_x16_Video_Card GTX760 is a solid midrange card. Microcenter will pricematch Newegg; support local businesses. Jones had some Radeon 79xx series cards for sale, those are also a solid option. TTQ B4U
so i was just told by my son he is on steam so what would be a good size for playing games on steam.... That really depends on the games he play. Steam is just another way to buy your games and it easily accessivke via your account. I just signed up for Steam to buy COD Ghosts. Downloading now. I bought my last COD Game from Gamefly but the price was the same and I'd need a Steam Account to validate it anyway so I'm now on both.
