WrxRcr
Rdx had a 2.0l turbo
Gergwheel1647545492
Rdx had a 2.0l turbo yea and i'm pretty sure it was a variable vane turbo as well
GGEvo
Fair enough i changed the title, and it was a 2.3 turbo, which was slow and got poor full economy, this i guess can be called the second gen but it looks like a much better thought out approach this time
GGEvo
Also this looks like a response to ecoboost seeing as they'll probably be putting the motors in more than just an suv

Ry_Trapp01647545522
I guess it's better late to the party then never... pretty much. they throw around "next generation" and "innovative" while saying "yea, they're basically just like all the other low displacement turbocharged DI engines on the market..." Not Brian
If they don't put them in a lightweight rwd car, the amount of fucks given will parallel with the conductivity of distilled water.
DavidBaustert
I've done some work on this project. The company announced a year or so ago that we are going to release a TypeR Civic with one of these engines. Without saying too much, they should be reasonably fun cars, if we get them... Mr. Jones
If they don't put them in a lightweight rwd car, the amount of fucks given will parallel with the conductivity of distilled water. Nope, just more FWD LOL.

Only problem is it's a FWD platform and will likely cost more $$$ than the last Civic Si Mugen which was a joke @ $30k! The boy racers that want the cars don't make enough money to buy and insure them...so it's already a FAIL and it's not even released! If it comes here, it will bomb.

Versluis
The rear end of that TypeR is so ugly. Most recently, except for the sedan look terrible.
Not Brian
Why couldn't these go in an S2000

May pave the way to a twin turbo v6 NSX  Why couldn't these go in an S2000 Because the s2000 doesn't exist anymore.
Mallard
May pave the way to a twin turbo v6 NSX  They've basically already said that the NSX is a TTV6 hybrid.
Not Brian
Because the s2000 doesn't exist anymore. I know that, make a new and improved one. A small turbo roadster would put all the new brz/frs cars to shame.
Mr. Jones
I know that, make a new and improved one. A small turbo roadster would put all the new brz/frs cars to shame. So everyone can complain it costs too much and won't buy it. Yup, sounds like a genius plan.

So everyone can complain it costs too much and won't buy it. Yup, sounds like a genius plan. That's probably why it wont happen. FRS/BRZ are out for 25k while later model used s2ks are pulling more than that. Would have to be FAR better than the competition to be worth it. Not Brian
I'm sure a $30k civic will sell better
Mr. Jones
I'm sure a $30k civic will sell better That's the point.. A new "2014 Safety Standard, Emissions Standard, Crash Tested" Turbo RWD Coupe would easily be high 30's to low 40's. People would cry it costs too much and that they'll go buy a 370Z/G37 etc. etc. etc.
