wagner
Driver is ok but I don't think the car is going to be saved...
SinisterSS
how fast was he going? (no sound on this laptop)
wagner
how fast was he going? (no sound on this laptop) From what I read it was close to 200mph. Standing mile and land speed racing is no joke. You make a McSteak doing that and you are going to have a bad time.

jeffro
I saw one of those cars in the parking garage at CSCC last night and thought that looked like a pretty aerodynamic car. Glad someone was putting it to use.
Ramsey
What is considered "ok" after a crash like that? Does "ok" just mean alive? Or is just a couple bumps and bruises?
wagner
What is considered "ok" after a crash like that? Does "ok" just mean alive? Or is just a couple bumps and bruises? He had some bruises and cuts from glass, that's it. For me, just walking away and not being a total mess for years after that is "ok" to me. A couple broken bones with no long lasting effects is huge win with a wreck like that.
Orion
I think I would have barfed my guts straight out of my body after a spin that fast.
Stretch
The fact that somebody can walk away from that is incredible.

russian rocket
thats crazy, it always amazes me when drivers walk away from those types of accidents. not just because of the carnage to the vehicle but because of that death spin. the g forces that were exerted on him at that moment were probably insane
coltboostin
Brings back Memories-Colt came around exactly the same way seemingly from a low pressure situation over the trunk. I still don't know how I didn't flip the car. 10% Skill, 90% luck? Who knows.....

spankis
Man, the g-forces encountered had to be insane, regardless of injuries and whatnot.
Fubar231
He had some bruises and cuts from glass, that's it. For me, just walking away and not being a total mess for years after that is "ok" to me. He had a collapsed lung and a big gash from what i read, but that was it. After a few nights in the hospital they released him after they knew his lung could function without help.
