ShowHBK
http://jalopnik.com/elio-motors-just-delayed-its-deliveries-again-again-1764881066 THANKS OBAMA LOL at Jalopnik's gif. It honestly does not surprise me that it was delayed over and over. Seems to be a trend with products and games these days when they offer pre-orders. While (to my knowledge) Elio Motors did not begin as a kickstarter, The idea is still the same and the failure to deliver off promises. This should honestly be a crime! I know people are willingly donating money to these projects, but is there any accountability for accepting the money? If I paid money for one of those things and the company for years now had pushed back the date more and more, can't you sue them or demand your money back? https://www.reddit.com/r/failedkickstarters

Coaster
I thought it sounded so much like "The Dale" from day 1 that I couldn't take Elio seriously. https://jalopnik.com/murder-transsexuals-and-the-price-is-right-the-story-464820740
Mallard
At this point their best shot is selling as a kit, or partnering with something like Local Motors instead of doing full-scale production on their own. Honestly, this should have been their goal from the start. Making cars is hard. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
zeitgeist57
I like that kit idea... FUlly functional car, everything included at a sub $7k price...just got to put it together from a pack of parts.
buelliganx1
I like the idea of a kit too but I've got to imagine that the market for a kit like this would be very small
greg1647545532
$7k can get you a pretty nice used car. $2/gal gas isn't Elio-friendly. They really needed gas to get expensive again.

El Karacho1647545492
Tesla, though backed by a billionaire, got started with about that much money. But Tesla was planning cars that were 20x as expensive, with new and untested technology. Elio is just a modern day DeLorean that didn't even get that far.
