Popular Post 408 on a budget Posted April 28, 2014 Popular Post Report Share Posted April 28, 2014 Hello guys and gals, new guy here from the Marietta/Parkersburg area. My ride is an 84 s10 blazer set up for strictly drag racing, it has a 408 sbc with a v3 vortech supercharger, th400 trans and a ford 9". I have never ran it in the 1/4, but several times in the 1/8th. Its not fast, but its mine and paid for and keeps me smiling. Last year it ran a best of 6.9x's with serious traction issues, made some adjustments, bought some double adjustable shocks and turned up the boost, can't wait to get it to the track! It was a really good show, but nothing as good as the one we went to a few years ago in Columbus. I have never been able to get to another show in Columbus and saw that they were having one in Kissimmee while I was going to be there.
